This was an enjoyable little map with some good puzzling involved. It wasn't until I had wasted a lot of time with some pathetic cube tossing that I realized I could just push the cube dispenser buttons to get the necessary delay. I didn't notice any bugs, but there was a section of floor that stuck up parallel to the funnel in the room with the moveable wall that made navigation across the funnel a bit frustrating. Other than that, this one was a fine addition to the series.

Thanks for the feedback might put a slanted player clip on that bit of the floor then. Not sure what part involves cube tossing or needing a delay, suppose depends on how you solved it

In the first room: I put the cube in the funnel near its source while I went up to adjoining room, fizzled the portals, stood on the button, portaled the funnel and ceiling above the button to get the cube.

In the second funnel room: tossed the cube to the funnel's source, ran to the next room, stood on the button that changed fizzler to laser field before the cube got fizzled.

Great map! The aesthetics were great and I loved the puzzles. The last one was a bit basic for my tastes, especially given what we'd been through before, but whatever.
One very minor thing I noticed: if you press e at any point during the cube ride, you drop into the room with the cubes already holding a cube, and there's an odd floating physgun effect. I believe the "freeze player" flag on the point_viewcontrol will fix this.

Freeze player and no user control are checked :/

I see. I always seem to try it the hardest way first.

Nice decayed style map. I didn't see any problems anywhere. Excellent puzzles, took a while on the last two, good solutions, no ninja stuff or cube tossing etc.. Well done...5/5 Thanks for creating...

Thanks for all the nice feedback

Just updated:

  • minor lighting and graphical tweaks
  • moved the boxes so pressing "E" during the tube ride shouldnt pick up a cube
  • fixed the part of the floor RogerL disliked, rotated and added player clips for smooth transition
  • slightly changed the end of the puzzle

WOW Lonewolf! This has been the part I liked most! Thanks for creating dude! Really awesome puzzles based in portal replacement to get the cubes to the end part. Impressive, very clever. Sorry that I hadn't got much time to play your maps. I'm making a better idea about your puzzles and I have to admit that their my favourite kind, dude! Thinking with portals!

I look forward to your next Dilapidation adventure!

This is my complete run (please forgive all that time spent in the last part figuring out It took me ages to think of using myself to press one of the buttons):

Thanks again for the really nice feedback and the video ,and no worries about not being able to play it instantly, you have to make your awesome maps too Yea the end bit is a little tricky, the only hint I tried to give was that one of the buttons at the end is a normal one and the rest are cubes.

I have roughish plans for Dilapidation parts 4, 5 and 6 but I dunno if they are good enough, I dont wanna keep using the same testing elements but I don't think I can create very good faith plate/ light bridge puzzles, so much pressure from my last maps. I will be working on them at the start of next year though so I will see if they are release worthy
Also still wanna go back and make some improvements to the first 3 parts, especially part 2 cause the ending sucks. So plenty to do in January xD
