-In the second-last chamber, the piston platform (Victory Lift) tend to lower when I reach the edge of it. Because of that, I tend to lose momentum when jumping down to the portal.
-Also in the second-last chamber, was my solution unintended? I placed the companion cube on the other side by going over the "glass" :p
-I know that in the last chamber, there's white wall facing the exit door, but I just wanted to grab it from the button like that :p Was that meant to be intended? Was it another way to do it or was it totally unintended?
-Again, great use of Companion Cube.
5/5. Keep it up and hope to see more maps made by you!
Cheers!
All in all a very nice map 5/5.
. The glass partitions are only to block line-of-sight. The intended solution is to wait till you get passed the laser fields and then press the button to deactivate the fizzler field, leave a portal behind on the wall beside the button and go retrieve the cube.
As for the last chamber, grabbing the cube from the button is the intended solution. That's why I placed it at that height so you can grab it or perhaps a little jump to get it
The white wall facing the exit is so that if the cube falls to the floor, you can leave a portal there and go down and retrieve it.
The only thing you did that was unintended was after the second chamber. That is the part where you use the second tractor beam to lift up that vertical shaft and keep the cube on the ceiling button to de-activate the fizzler field. When you used the third tractor beam to pull yourself into the other chamber past the fizzler field, I was not expecting that. Nice move
. The solution is to step of the beam opposite side of the fizzler field, and when it's de-activated pop a portal on the other side of it, then catch the cube before it falls, then portal the wall behind you and advance to the next chamber. Perhaps watch my included video (unless you already have
).
Sorry for being long-winded. Thanks for taking the time to record and upload your video. Much appreciated.
Lpfreaky: I think I will take the advice of the piston platform into consideration. I guess it can be annoying if one was to hesitate jumping off when height is needed. I didn't know it was called a "Victory Lift". At first I miss-read it as "Victoria Lift". That made me think of brassieres
.
Thanks for playing guys.
Cheers.
