Can we see a video of the intended solution? If its what Frenetic did, you might consider a patch. My jump to the bridge is still possible, and can be done without air strafing (but its tough!). Also, the ending of my second solution circumvents a lot of the cube stuff in Frenetic's solution. The cube never needs to be moved after first placing it on the laser grid button.

I'd like to keep on trying to find it It could be awesome if we try new approaches for that part instead of ours, right? like a practical exercise

I'm down to find the intended, of course, but its hard to know what I'm shooting for with a bunch of other solutions floating around! Some changes to the map geometry should be able to block the unintended stuff....

Yeah, I'm giving it a shot now, lots of ideas but I'm not sure what's allowed any more >.<

Ok, I have some ideas in my head. I've got it when I saw Jose's way to bring the cube to the initial area. But I've given it up since I thought it was not so elegant and could make player stuck. Now as I've seen all your tries I guess I can introduce it.

EDIT. The map is updated.

Good update, squashes my solutions. Seems at first glance that only Frenetics solution is do-able now (unless the intended is something else...)

Hehe... I've come with an awesome way now... though I'm not sure if it's the one that Grey was talking about since it was not possible before (I already thought of it then ):

**EDIT**: LOL, and yet another one! Seems like this morning I woke up really creative! This way is fairly neat and seems really legit. Also it could be done in all previous versions ... OK, now I have to go to work...

My preferred alternate way is similar to this, except I throw the cube from one bridge to the other.

This one is certainly the more legit, and can be done even more easily : if the two bridges are close enough, you don't need the gel and can jump normally from one to the other, or stand on the cube (if you're lazy).

So, Grey, it must be one of these, right?

Well done, Jose. The second solution is right the way I meant it. The only difference with Mark`s is that he jumped with cube ftom second part of bridge to the initial part what is quite difficult.
As for the first video, ah, damn, shame on me.

Ha! but Grey, I already told you about that jump previously! remember in one of my pms? I thought it was an unintended and I described it like so

Really funny map my friend! and lots of fun with all those different approaches by all of us!

I am so confused now..
Has anyone posted the intended solution for getting the cube into the third (last) area yet?

Edit:
Also, nice solutions Jose ^^
Before I was using the portalable surface under the first fizzler - I'd stand on the lightbridge and fire a portal up through the gap while moving into it.. but I especially like your first vid!

Cheers sickle, I think the angled reportalling I did (and so did Calmly Frenetic) is the intended movement to reach the third area then move the cube from area 1 to 3

Yearrghhh! Been pulling my hair out trying to find an alternative that doesn't use a painted verticle bridge or whatever. I love maps with replay value

Hehe, I'm glad it helped you. But it's not so necessary.

The way you got over the pit to the final area is not intended. I don't know how you managed to gain such a side momentum, may be - gel, may be - you're ninja. Anyway, I'm glad someone still plays it. Cheers.
