This pops up when I try to run my (WIP) Ruins: Prolouge.
"Brush 12229: FloatPlane: bad normal
Side 0
Texture: METAL/BLACK_WALL_METAL_005A_TOP"

Do I blame it on a leak or...?

(If your curious about Ruins, it's a mixture of the aesthetic themes Overgrown, Reconstructing, Behind the Scenes, and Underground.)

You brush is broken. Remove it and create a new one.

Ok so the map runs now, but the deadly goo vat beneath the chamber doesn't appear.
Is it because the brush beneath it is toolsblack?

No, that's OK with toolsblack. What does your water look like? Did you ONLY texture the top?

No, the bottom is textured too.
I looked and saw that the trigger_hurt and water didn't go all the way down though, so I'll try that.

for water it's the best to make a whole brush nodraw; and then use the texture application tool to texture the top with the water texture!

With the tool that has the picture of a colourful cube. (Did you watch the videos I recommended? Because, I think that in your case, you should watch them before making a mistake again).
