Currently i want to edit a nonsealing part of the map that i converted to a func_brush, it contains different brushes in one entity.

now i need to change the level a bit
and i am stuck with this large entity...

also googling for "hammer" combined with "brush" and "break" doesnt give any specific results...

Select the entity, right-click on it and select "move to world". This will remove it's entity status, and turn it back into normal brushes.

For the record, if you want to edit the brushes without having to untie/retie them, go to View-->Screen Elements-->Selection Mode Bar. That will allow you to switch between editing groups (entities) and solids (just the brushes independent of entity ties).

This should be enabled by default and is on the right hand menu.

It is, I just have it closed out to save space and simplify the view a bit. Plus I rarely use it.

I use that group/object/solid selection windows and the ignore group icon all the time, can't live without them
