How could I do this? and only for a section of the map?
However, before you transition in and after you transition out, you'll be able to see into the area which is foggy. A potential solution for this might be to make a foggy particle system which you enable while the player is not in the fog zone.

I tried using that with a brush entity (func_fogvolume? Something like that), setting near to 100, far to 160, and colours to black and "25 25 25" , but it didn't work when triggered. Also, the z-clipping section of that entity applied even when it was disabled.
Any ideas? :S

aaaah, ok. I'll try the entity on it's own then. any way to fade in the fog, rather than have it instant?
