My theory is that GLaDOS is Caroline in robo form and Chelle, and the other test subjects, are clones of Cave Johnson and Caroline. Quite baseless TBH, all I'm going on is that the test subjects you see being grown at the end of course 5 appear to be identical to Chelle and well... Who else would they use as the base model for the clones?

Also, if you look at the hidden portrait there is quite a likeness between Chelle and Caroline.

GLaDOS was partially Caroline, but she got deleted in the last cut scene. I don't know where everyone gets these ideas from. There is nothing pointing towards Chell being their daughter or that they were even a couple, right? They look kinda coupley to me bro... And Caroline certainly looks a lot like Chell. The clone/daughters scenario is pretty viable TBH.

Well, there is the portrait of a lady achievement, cave mentioning Caroline should be used for the GLaDOS project. Those are the two major things that point to the cave-caroline-chell relation

First off: I'm not miserable... I just think that people see things that aren't there, they are just theories without any backup or proof. I'd agree with you if there was any reason to agree with you, but I don't base my thought on evidence that aren't there. It's like saying that the companion cube is actually GLaDOS step brother...

Second: Even if they were a couple there is nothing that ties them together with Chell. The characters never mentions that they have a daughter. Plus that Chell probably made the potato project with the name Chell in the chapter "The Escape". Since those projects are placed upstairs in the new testing facilities it would indicate that she was relatively young when that place was built and Cave was probably around 60-70 down in the 1970-1980s test chambers underground, indicating that Carolyn would have been pretty old too.

I always thought the "Chell is Cave's kid" theory was sort of grasping at straws. Why does Chell need to be anyone important? She's just an extraordinarily stubborn test subject who Doug remembered while trying to hit back at GLaDOS.

I guess, but even the comments in which GLaDOS speaks says it isn't true so... yeah. Sometimes I think this is just as ridiculous as those Pokemon myths that are resurfacing. So to sum it all up:
