Hardest SP Maps

Hey peeps

I like pain

I like banging my head off a wall, repeatedly only to find the door works just as well

Im stubborn

So...

Please post the hardest portal 2 SP maps and feel free to mention any Portal 1 maps as well for good measure.

The map I have found pretty tricky so far is Simulacra more for the sheer what the hell do I dooness of it. Some people dont like this and love being spoon fed up the ass with a solution. If you are one of those, dont touch this map. Its not especially hard to problem solve once you know what to do.

The hardest map I have played from Portal 1 was the Bethesda designers map Ren Test 2 with the spinning room.
Also it was Ren test 1 that was really easy to work out but frustrating to actually pull off, thats not my kinda hard. Mind you the guy in the vid does it in 30 seconds. git!
Ren test 3 is also exceedingly difficult but once again its not hard to know what to do, its the application thats more difficult. This guy does it bloody fast as well.

Anyhoo... I challenge yall to give me levels that are stupidly silly to complete.

Best Maps (In my Opinion - of course there are tons of them):

Portal: Prelude and Blue Portals was also seen as "hard" by the community. (But if you've been playing Portal since 2007, they should be easy,)

If you're the guy who made the time trial levels in Blue Portals... well, let's just say you should get some more high security locks for your home.

I have a map called "Revenge of the Angry Turrets" that has a lot of turrets in it if your interested. It's my first map, so textures weren't as good.

I like this guys thinking... Can anyone name some hard MP maps too? I much more a fan of MP and there are a lot I haven't played.

Well, my upcoming playground/puzzle hybrid map might be hard... I guess it depends if people know where to go. Can't think of any MP maps that are hard right off the bat.

I played most MP maps with good feedback from here, and for me & my coop partner Cyan Industries stood out in difficulty(very complex logic, also involved many deaths).

Beamtrap is a fairly difficult map too.

Simulacra was very nice, thanks for sharing.

We need more difficult maps!!!

I suggest you try Enigma for Portal 2, it got me thinking for a few hours!

I found the new "a box of dimensions - appetizer 1" to be quite tricky, now it's called appetizer 3, need to try it again.

One of my two Halloween maps will provide a challenge that will include several test elements in different rooms. It will be out on Halloween.

I found this map challenging ([SP] Missing Geodome) but it was mostly cause I kept falling into the acid! LOL!

I personally didn't like this map cause it was too large, but it was challenging ([SP] Motanum's Main Four)

But this one took me hours to figure out ([SP] Laser Funnel)

I'm hoping for a list of more challenging posts on this thread as well. Thanks for starting it!

Hmmm... this is kinda my favourite subject! Let me recommend those which in my humble opinion are hard BUT with a good taste, WITHOUT calculated flings of reflector cubes through portals poniting the laser beam to several targets...
