Import models from Portal 1 ? (pistons)

Hello. I was wondering if it was technically possible to import some models used in Portal to use them in Portal 2. I want to import all the "pistons" from Portal 1 to put them on my platforms.
I am working on Portal 1 levels style and I'm actually importing all I need from Portal 1 (textures as example) but now I want some models, and the model I want set to my new prop_dynamics are the pistons from Portal 1 (I also want to import their textures if it use textures that are no more used in Portal 2).
I'd love if someone tell me how to do, that will be very awesome if I could put them on my P2 levels :thumbup:

The pistons from portal 1 were multiple brushes (cylinders and cones) combined together, with a black metal or a shiny metal cubemap texture from hl2 (HALF-LIFE 2). In portal 2, it's a model, look type in piston in the model browser, you will find a variety.

I did not find any piston that looked similar to that in the model browser.
Are you sure ? Then I can't find it

What spongy meant is that there are pistons in portal 2 but they look very different from the ones in portal 1.

Spongy also said that the pistons from portal 1 are actually brushes. This is correct, there are NO piston models in Portal 1.
This is what a piston looks like in portal 1:

So you can either create your own prefab/instance that looks somewhat similar or your could just use the models from portal 2. I think the latter is more convenient and looks better :wink:

Ah ok ! I did not understand it in that way, thanks for answers !
I will make models then, I think P2 pistons are disgusting, P1 pistons looked so awesome, also I need that for my P1 levels style, I need everything that looks P1 and remove everything that looks P2, including buttons, doors...or even textures and soundtracks :smile: And now i'm on pistons hehe
