Since we have no news on the cake, err i mean DLC, I wanted to know if there are any clever 360 players out there who have figured out how to play custom maps for P2 on 360 yet? You can really only play the story mode for so long.

And some of these PC custom maps are amazing.

P.S. I'm not buying Portal 2 for PC/Mac. End of story.

But maybe when the DLC arrives you'll get more. Your just going to have to be patient, like the rest of us.

I think you may be only a few chapters into the story.

The DLC is made by Valve. Custom Maps are not. Valve would not release other people's custom maps under their own name as part of a DLC pack. The DLC coming out "very, very soon" will have brand new chambers and will be the same on all consoles/computers.

Valve would probably also let us pick and choose what custom maps we wanted. They might be very slow in terms of release dates, but what they do release is of the highest quality and is made very well.

Hmm... I wonder what the map files are for the Xbox360? I mean, Valve makes their maps on computers so they either stay as BSP or converted to something else.

I think they stay as .bsp. The xBox is pretty much a PC that only plays games, with different controls.

In that case, is there a way to transfer pc map files to the xbox and put them in the game?

Just buy one for pc, but if you're so stubborn, Maybe you can extract the files from the cd

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb203937.aspx, from what I know from that is xbox games are made with XNA framework

Pc has advantages (especially with VALVe games),
Change the model in single player or coop,
Custom maps
Modding
Getting the tools to mod
Sixense motion pack dlc
Extras
Console
custom textures
Custom models
Custom sounds
Skins In coop
Steam
Backups
