Leadwerks on Greenlight

I feel like map design is something that has been sort of lost in a lot of modern game development tools. I got my start in technology making maps for Quake and Half-Life, and I want to bring level design back to the forefront of game development. I just launched a Greenlight campaign for Leadwerks here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =145716110

Basically, we made a modern game development tool with a built-in CSG/BSP editor. We're also working with the Steam SDK to integrate Steam features into the engine, like Workshops and support for Valve's asset formats. I'm interested in blurring the line between "modding" and "indie game development".

I'm posting here because I know you guys will "get" it, and value a lot of the same things I do in design. If you like what we're doing, I would definitely appreciate your vote in Greenlight so I can get it on Steam. I hope that wasn't spammy.

This is pretty cool; a lot of people here have been in a state of transition, looking for something basically along the lines of this. For myself, I ended up starting a new engine, but as a mapping community its nice to have something just to map for.

Moving this to 'Other Games.'

Looks pretty cool, and as I haven't managed to get the hang of anything but hammer very proficiently, this might be right up my alley.

What kind of format does it export to? Could I compile maps for the source engine straight from this or would I have to do some kind of conversion first?

Looks promising. Very, very promising. Will there be a cheeper/free edition of your editor like Game Studio or will there only be one product sold for the $200 that you are asking for on your site. It would be cool if you would have the basic system for free with watermarks and all that just so people can get "attached" to it, and buy editions and addons later. Like for example, I know Source very very well, and if I could buy a licence without going through the whole Valve system and knowing that I was going to make a game with it, I would. Of course, I still have to look into your trial edition, what limits does that have? Watermarks? Timed?

I really hope you come back and answer our questions rather you just post it here and run off.
