Making the Portal Gun Move

In the first Portal, as you know, the Portal Devices spin and periodically shoots a portal- in which the player must solve puzzles with. I am making a Portal 2 mod and I would like to be able to do the same thing. I know it's possible to do this in Portal 2, I've played rHetorical's mod Alive & Kicking. If anyone knows how to do this, please post how down below.

I can't get the Portal that the gun shoots to connect to an orange portal placed somewhere else. The ID number that the orange portal goes to is zero so I don't know what I'm doing wrong...

Change it to ID 1. You can edit the instance by going into the properties (alt+enter) and clicking the edit instance at the bottom of dialogue.
