I've thought a new possible reason for your problem. Are you using a wireless mouse/keyboard? beecause this, altogether with a not-well-optimized level, could cause a rendering flow drop.
Anyway as I told you in steam, I really think it has to be related to the "Anti-aliasing" and "Filtering" effects settings: it is a rough rendering of the movements (non smooth movements), that only appears when a map is big or it's not optimized and rendering process is busy with the rest of the map consuming your system resources...
Try setting those 2 parameters up to 4x and check if it still happens. Anyway, "Anti-aliasing" is only for making smoother the "teeth" made in shape's outlines, try also to put that "off" increasing the "filtering" value up to Anisotropic 16x for example...

yes this try reduced the rough movements in some maps a littile but I still had the same problem with no difference other maps specially in maps with lasers
