Hey, Im planning to try create few custom textures for Portal 2, and I am thinking that is there any program wich helps me to create perfect texture edges so there would not be bad edges on texture (when you scale textured brush over 128x128, texture starts over, you know?).Or do I have to create texture from start to finish without any that kind programs?

Help is very appreciated!

Look for a "make seamless" filter in your photo editing program.

For the Gimp it's Filters => Map => Make Seamless.
(I don't know how Photoshop calls it, but it must be in there somewhere. Probably also in the Filters menu.)

Eh, it works 100% same as quick tiler plug-in in photoshop, it makes picture look strange, fading colours, etc.
And someone said, that tool (quick tiler, make seamless) is not for making pattern textures? Or then I just know how to use it right ways, any ideas?

I was going to reply 'use offset', however the tutorial beat me to it.
