I heard somewhere that Gabe talked to the Bad Robot studios to make a Portal or a Half-Life movie.

Time for the main questions:

1) What movie do you prefer? Portal or Half-Life?
2) Would you watch the movie at the film debut, wait until they release in DVD or you'll never watch?
3) Do you think they should make sequels, like "Portal 1 and 2" or "Half-Life 1, 2, 2ep.1 and 2ep.2"?
4) Do you think that it's a good idea make a movie about some of these games, or they're just wasting money?

My answers:
1) Portal
2) Watch at the film debut
3) Make sequels, so the public would understand better the history without have played the games.
4) It's an AWESOME idea!

1) Half-life if they stick to the universe and the same characters because the game has a great story already. A portal movie would be kinda dumb unless they don't focus on the testing and puzzle solving... But then a simple mention to the tests wouldn't be Portal.
2) When it comes out/bay it.
3) Meh, maybe. Judging if a movie should have a sequel when it doesn't even exist isn't an easy task.
4) No. Especially that Chell and Gordon are mute in the games, it would break the characters. Unless they want to bring mute movies back, I don't think these games are the best to make a movie around... Maybe Bioshock, Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed or even L4D, but not Portal nor HL2.

I don't think it would be a straight adaptation of the game(s). My personal favorite is to have an Aperture movie made, detailing the rise and fall of Aperture Science.

I'd love to see a full out aperture movie, maybe about the astronaut, war hero and olympian scandal. Or maybe following the life of a degenerate hobo who rises to greatness through testing. Then dies of lung cancer from all the asbestos.

I have a new idea: Instead of focusing Chell through Aperture, considering that she's a mute character, why not make the history of Aperture (as Van and p0p suggested), but at the ending showing Chell, Wheatley and GLaDOS? Because there's a LOT of history that isn't shown through Portal/Portal 2, for example (like Cave Johnson founding Aperture or GLaDOS killing everyone or even ~Doug Rattman~). Even if the movie is ridiculous in it's debut, they wouldn't waste their money, because it would have millions of viewers around the world (and most of them would love the movies just for the fact that it's a Portal/Half-Life movie).
