Portal1 maps in portal2 ?
Hi peepls
First off, Id like to congratulate all you mappers out there, its nice to see such a wealth of maps available after such a short time.
My question is can you play portal 1 maps in portal 2. I initially guessed not but then I saw Sword of Appolo's map "Take off 1.1" and It reads as a portal 1 map "Take-Off is a large, highly tested and polished custom level for Portal 1". Has this just been re-done for portal 2 or did the original bsp work?
The reason I ask is because a while back I played this map

made by a Bethesda level designer. Its the hardest map I have ever played and would be nice to play this without installing portal 1 again.
Apologies if this general question has already been asked but i searched and had no luck with an answer.

p.s. Please point me towards the HARDEST maps you can. So far there has never been a puzzle that has stumped me. Im like Chell, I dont give up. Ever!

The maps would need to be recompiled in order to run in Portal 2, in addition of needing a lot of fix-up work.
If you are looking for good maps, check out our Community Spotlight maps. I can't promise they are necessarily difficult, but they are pretty much the best-of-the-best maps around here.
Just re-installed portal 2 (I moved my steam folder and it stopped working) and found no way to run Take off anyway
I hope the bethesda dude makes more maps for portal. Even so I highly suggest loading up portal 1 just to play this map, it really is a killer.
Thanks for the link as well. Just completed Syncronicity. Really well made, good level design. I would rate difficulty about 2.5/5 but also worth a look
