I had a total facepalm moment when I realised how the last part was meant to be done - I'd been placing funnels off center at funny angles to try and shuffle the cube slightly out of the path of the laser >.< Not so sure I did the first bit right, but it was fun anyhoo

Nicely done! Looks like I gotta make the glass thicker. Other than that, that is indeed the intended solution. I'm making a new one over the weekend, so look forward to it.
