After fixing up the entire canon of human literature, I finally realized that there was one thing missing from Greek Mythology: science. That, test subject, is where you come in. See, the Odyssey Initiative turned out so well that I've decided to make it into a movie, and the best of our test subjects will be playing a silhouetted Odysseus. Just make sure you actually are the best; I've decided to make this film a sort of pilgrimage for the best of the best who want into a new career (although you might have trouble down the road if you keep jumping instead of reading your lines). Now, I'm sure you're thinking "Cyber-Cave, how can I be in more than one movie? I don't think many others have the actors jump instead of speak." Well, rest assured you won't have to worry about that for a while, because this is a trilogy!

This map is still in it's first released version, so any type of feedback is greatly appreciated. I would love to hear player's opinions on the laserfield in room 2 and the timed fling in room 3. Also, I should point out that the final solution is not linear; be creative.

I can't believe I was stubborn enough to finish this map. The first trip through was mostly one of confusion because there were just so many elements that never activated: lightbridges, fizzlers, laser fields. And when you get to the end, you get a button which doesn't seem to do anything and a laser emitter labeled with a square and I hadn't seen a button so labeled anywhere in the map. At this point, I think most people would have just given up. But since there was another button that opened up the door, I laboriously made my way back to the beginning and all was revealed. I didn't feel so much like Odysseus as a fool on which a great joke had been played. But no matter, it wouldn't be the first time, so I took my companion cube and made my way back to the end yet again and finished the map.

As for the puzzles themselves, the first room took awhile because the panel that slanted was not very apparent because it was so far away; maybe you should put it on the floor where it would be more obvious. The second room was more straightforward, but probably only because I think I did it in an unintended way: I put a portal on the floor and one on the funnel and tossed the cube into the funnel where it serenly made its way through the grating. The third room was very tight timing for me, but after exploring the room for a while it was obvious enough what to do. Having to do slight variations on these puzzles on the way back didn't really increase my enjoyment of them, but at least I was able to find out what all those unlabeled elements were for.

To be honest, I think this would have been more enjyable if you had left it as a straightforward linear three-room map. But then you would have to change the name of the map. And that's probably asking too much.
