[PTI] Sidetrack
A very small test chamber that should be quite more difficult than it seems. It may be possible to solve with ninja skills, but that wouldn't be the right solution...
Comments are really appreciated, please let me know if the way you're solving it feels unintended...

Have fun!
: while flinging from the cube_dropper area to the catapult area, I should shoot a portal in midair to the angled panel on the other side, the side that goes straight to the laserfield; then from the catapult area I should just shoot a portal under the cube to throw it into the goo then it would fling to the floor_button area where I would catch it. Lol... but after a while trying to turn myself in midair and shoot to achive that, I didn't succeed
So I found this way (surely unintended):
Cool, thank you very much for testing! Just released an update fixing your unintended solution.
What you say in the spoiler is the ninja solution I'm talking about in the map description. It may be possible to solve it that way if you are extremely lucky, but the intended solution doesn't need anything as twitchy as that...
Thanks again, and feel free to check out my other map (way longer than this one).
It is very easy to fix though. I'll give it another go today/tomorrow and record a different solution Btw, is it Spain only your current location or you're Spanish indeed? I'm Spanish too

Pues s?, espa?ol de toda la vida... de Salamanca! Se hace raro ver a gente espa?ola que se dedique a esto... somos muy pocos (al menos que yo conozca).
Let me know (you or anyone else) if you're unable to solve it... I could try to give you a hint.

Ey!
OK, this is what I've tried so far in this new version:
1. First logical approach was to dissolve the cube while I was standing on the catapult area and I had one portal opened on the floor right on the bullseye overlay and the other one on the floor at the opossite corridor; after the cube has flung though portals, I quickly move through the fizzler field to the exit area and quickly shoot a floor portal below the cube (still flying in the air) and th other on the flipped panel... But the cube cannot reach the place, not even the lasefield! and it just falls down to the goo
2. I cataputed the cube hoping it would enter a floor portal (opened right on the bulleye overlay again) and get out with a certain higher speed (than in above case) from the other portal placed on the floor at the opossite corridor... to no avail either
However, I'll try again the following: infiniflinging the cube from the right corridor to the leftt one only 1 time in order not to make the cube crash agaisnt the ceiling, because I tried but if it infiniffling too much it ends up crashing agaisnt the ceiling and bouncing somewhere else making this maneuver impossible
Btw, I forgot to mention: that kind of physics' clipping near the the fizzler if you fling the cube towards the laserfield from the dropper area is kind of meany

I think you're getting too crazy... Here's a little hint:
Don't try to solve the map from the catapult area. Yes, you'll have to be there to catch the cube, but you're supposed to do something at the cube zone first.
If you still can't come up with a solution, I could tell you the minimum number of Portals required to solve it...

Igualmente!
Yo he mapeado durante muchos a?os para Unreal Tournament y tampoco s? de muchos espa?oles... eso s?, los pocos hab?a (o que conozco) eran muy buenos...
However, the solution you describe is not supposed to work:If you throw the cube before getting Chell back to the entry area, the cube is supposed to roll and fall into the goop (if it doesn't hit the fizzler first)... Maybe you were extremely lucky?
Could you try what you said again and see if it works every time? I'd like to see it in a video if that's the case...
I solved it like this: Catapult to the "cube zone", then portal at the left angled panel and another portal on the floor where the cube will drop. Destroy the cube by dropping it into the Goo, then wait for the cube to enter the area with the exit door, through the Laser Field. (It took a few tries, because it either touches the fizzler or drops into the Goo) After that, portal one at the ceiling and another portal on the floor to gain momentum, then portal at the right angled panel to get back to the exit door. Go through the fizzler and place the cube on the button.
Was this the intended solution?
I'll give this a 4/5.
Thanks for creating!
RectorRocks, you've solved it the same way as quatrus... it's not the intended solution!
Read the spoiler from my previous post...
Thanks for the vid zivi... Any idea on how I could fix that? It would be awesome to force the portal to 'snap to grid' in the angled pannels, but I haven't touched Hammer in my life... If someone game me step-by-step instructions on how to do it, then I could try... I'm also thinking about replacing the cube by a ball but I'm not a fan of those...

Actually I played this map before and even recorded my blindrun with my unintended solution, but for some reason, I can't find the file so I didn't manage to upload it.

Oh? Whats the intended solution then?
The only downside would be that you would have to upload the map again, unfortunately you can't update a PTI map with a Hammer version.
I could probably help you do this in a step-by-step-way via Skype. But even then you still would have the problem that the other unintended solution works. We should better wait with that edit untill we come up with a solution for that one as well.

Let me know if you can break this version...

Want a hint?
Just take your solution and twist it in a way that requires one less portal...
Edit: Updated the map again replacing the faith plate(s) by portalable surfaces. Hopefully this will be the final version!
Hopefully this is the final version... Here's the intented solution!

I think it's better this new version without the laser field. It leads to only the intended solution I think. Good job
It's a great puzzle.
, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out once you've looked at the map for a little. I like this last version the most too!

I already thought and did that at the very beginning though standing on the dropper area. Ofc you made the cube to crash against the fizzler but, would it have been different if the player would have been in the entry area? I think that's unfair
I'm not sure if you mean this, but yeah, someone solved the laserfield version by angular-flinging the cube from the entry area...
Finally had to watch the solution Video.
My response is the same as josepezdj - that's not quite right the way the solution works.
There is no way to get that kind of propulsion to get back to the main area from a fall into an angled surface. It is one of those "fake assist" things where you suddenly and inexplicably get a turbo boost to fly somewhere. I never would have tried that solution since it had no chance of working with normal physics.
Although I do not care for those - I really enjoyed your "Hi Floor Dilemma" map.
I played several maps in Portal 1 which involved more complex stuff, such as angluar crouch fling climbing (Hurricaaane's Logic Portals 4), so I didn't expect this one to be so evil for some people... You may want to play a map called 'No Ordinary Headache', which teaches you the thing before the real puzzle...
Glad you still liked 'High Floor Dilemma'!
