Skinning Bendy?

Heya there, might as well post this in modding as it involves skinning.

Earlier I tried to reskin the wonderful Bendy, the character in which you play the steam workshop levels as. However I am completely baffled as to which files I need.

As if I take a look in the pak01_dir with GCFScape, I see that the model stuff for Bendy is located here...

models > info_character > info_character_bendy.mdl etc

Also the materials for Bendy are here...

materials > models > info_character > info_character.vmt etc

I have skinned for Portal 2 in the past, using this tutorial in which I follow step by step etc.

I placed the edited .vtf and .vmf in the following location...

portal2_dlc2 > materials > models > info_character

However when I do this...the menu for the community test chambers appears to be black and purple checkers, and the game would crash randomly when I installed the skins.

Does anybody know the correct and fixed way of creating skins for Bendy?

So how would I go about hexing the .vpk?

Also, the .vmf was a typo I didn't realise was there.

Adding extra vmt parameters to the selected text.
Bendy right there with orange gel, plastered all over him.

The lab boys just informed me that you shouldn't get covered in propulsion gel.

If you don't want to hex the vpk, you can try extracting and rebuilding it with vpk.exe in your portal2/bin folder, more messy but less confusing.
