I have a trigger_push on top of a static brush that is supposed to move things along the floor. However, when the fall onto the trigger, they only move a little bit, and then stop. I'm not sure if this is due to friction or whatever... If the player stands on the trigger, however, they continue to glide along just as they're supposed to. Anybody got a magic fix?

Increase the speed of the push? Seems like it might work, otherwise no idea.

If it's the friction, how about aiming the push direction slightly upwards?

It IS the friction; to fix it you need to make a frictionless material (like ice only waaaaaay more slippery) and then put that on an invisible brush over the floor. (make sure it only collides with physics objects via func_brush and a filter!)
You could also make new VMTS for the floor/ceiling textures that are frictionless. This would prevent a ton of bugs, and VMTs don't take up a ton of space, it's just time consuming.

I was considering doing this, but I didn't know it was friction. Thankfully, I'm using a custom material for that one to begin with, so that all works out nicely. Thanks.
We're done here.
