DOWNLOAD

Stations is a 5 map pack that will feature progressively harder challenges.
Each station will consist of a simple goal with a very challenging means to reach it, and by the last station be prepared to have to use all of the portal skills and advanced techniques to accomplish it.

Heres some pics.

Looks good, indy! Could you upload it into the download database?

I played the first two levels of stations before I had making thinkingwithportals my prefered choice for custom portal maps.

I was wondering when the author was going to get around to posting it so I could comment on it.

I really liked Stations. It had it's challenges, but I always knew where I needed to go. I just needed to figure out how to get there every now and then.

I'm pretty sure I did most of the first station level not quite as intended though.
Step up portals make it very easy to get to the end.

Oh, and on the second station (If I remember right) There was a problem that the cube would spawn out every time I loaded. Meaning I had toGo back all the way from the start (assuming I saved when I had the cube on the button), retrieve the cube again, and bring it back. At least the turrets were already dead, so that made it slightly easier.

However, I'm not sure if any of that has been changed in the version you released here. I fully intend to give it another shot once I get back from work.

Just finished the updated map pack. Hot damn I love your maps.

You must have changed the asteroid hopping area this time around, because I found it MUCH more challenging. Which is good, cause I found it easy one the previous release.

Was very surprised by the HL2 sniper that you had in the third map. I don't know if it's possible for you to delay the sniper's shot for another second or so. I had to die twice before figguring out where I needed to go.

I look forward to future releases

once again thanks for the kind words and suggestions, they will all be taken into account while i design the levels.

btw I just updated the pack, and station 2 has gotten a major overhaul and difficulty has been ramped up a bit.

as usual click the link in the first post to download it.

media fire host has problems occasionally but if the dl doesnt work try again later and it should be fine.

thanks again and enjoy =]

*update
fixed button exploit on station2
added station3 alpha

I'm experimenting with a different type of game play element in this one, so I could really use feedback on what people think.

as usual you can get the updated pack on the link in the first post =]

Please put [RELEASE] and/or [WIP] in your thread titles so that moderators know to move your map to the relevant boards.

Finished station 3. Not a fan of having to do math. But the questions were easy, so I won't break your legs. This time.

As always, the maps are very visually appealing, and pretty well made. Keep up the good work

Indy, I just noticed that the map pack you have in the database is...invalid.

dload.php?action=filefile_id=89

The download button forwards to a mediafire download page that says the file no longer exists.

If you want to upload your most recent build to the database, that would be great

Station 3 feels like the movie Saw. Puzzles that kill you when you get a wrong answer. Sweet.

I beat all of Station 3 except the last "Plinko" style room. I didnt see how exactly to beat this, as the ball kept falling to the wrong side.
Is this an error on my part ( am I missing something?) or was this just some random error where the ball was supposed to go to the right side?

All of the Levels were excellent though. Excellent puzzle style gameplay.

So is this map pack project dead? If so, it's a real shame. I thought these were some pretty good maps, and was looking forward to seeing the rest.

Ive been on a tf mapping spree for a while, but I haven't forgot about stations.

Ive recently picked it back up and have decided to give it a overhaul and finish it up.

Over the next few weeks I'll be working on it off n on, but I dont plan on another release until I finish up some more work on it.
