About the portal 2 textures: what is your vmf version? Portal 2 uses 7.5 and tf2 an older version, I guess 7.3.

You need to turn Portal 2 texture version 7.5 to 7.3 with program called VTFEdit.Normal website doesn't work for downloads so you have to download from different mirror;

You don't have to change Portal 1's texture version.And make sure you copied .vmt files as well.
