What classifies as a vertex texture?

A texture that has "vertex" in its name
* means any number of any characters, so "*_vertex" is "something_vertex"

Harley Frank, you don't need to sign every post with your name.

Yes because I'm professional. I always act appropriate online because we are all adults here, and acting like a child isn't going to get you anywhere because people will treat you like a child until you act right. If you are not professional, then that is your business, not mine. I will treat you with the same level of respect that you treat me with.

Ok so if I'm not supposed to use a vertext texture, how come when I look at something, it's lit up, but when I look away, it goes dark? Is there not enough light? Do I have to up the brightness?

Sincerely,
Harley Frank

Vertex textures are textures that have their lighting determined on a different position; these are generally used for models that have to move around; based on the location of the object the lighting will be calculated.

If you paint the walls with it it'll take YOUR position so if YOU are in a light spot the texture will be light; if you are in a dark spot; the texture will appear dark.

As for the respect thingy; we treat everyone with respect here, so no need for all kinds of formalities, they're quite uncommon here .

That... I just have the urge to try to use that for something. Heck if I know what.

Have you fixed your panels harmeister? Because you can utilise some other instances that people have made.
Try:

[Instance] Ramps

Moth's Useful Instances
(I miss moth...)
