Using a static+physics prop as a dynamic prop?

I am planning to use a certain turret gib to replace a normal turret at a certain point in the map.
though unlike with the windows, where it was pretty easy, the prop "turret_fx_laser_gib4.mdl" isnt compatible with the dynamic object.

It wont work as a physiscs object since it needs to be at a very specific location, in order to show up on a camera.

Though i've tried "prop_dynamic_override" it didnt give me the one thing i needed, a "start disabled" option...
That way i can kill the normal turret and "enable" the gutted turret.

Any way to accomplish this?

1) Try adding the "Start Disabled"/"Start Enabled" keyvalue without SmartEdit. Just a guess.

2) Disable collisions and when map starts use a logic_auto to disable it right away.

i just "cheated" it by adding a func_linear and having it just "popup" when it should appear!
you can see it for yourself now... i just released the map :biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin:
