Description

This is map number 2 in my serie "Aperture Science Test" This one is a little bit short. But i hope the puzzle is just a little hard. You can request a solution if you need it. I learned a lot from making this map. Thats why it got so short. I used some different stuff in it.

You only need to post the BSP

Video of playthrough coming in a bit.

EDIT1: Finished map. That was difficult. Set the fizzler texture to "Fit" the brush. Cheaty way to do it, and a bit ugly, but better than a wall of repeated textures.. Video is compiling right now.

Looking forward to the video i Like that you think it was difficult.

Was the wheatley thing ok?

Anything wrong with the laser puzzle?

Did you find the hidden companion cube?

Wheatly was very nice. I did get a smile on my face when he popped up. The puzzle itself is good. The indicators were a bit confusing, but it was fine otherwise.

Hidden cube you say? Spoiler yer spoilers ofc
Video will be up in 15 mins.

Edit: Video!

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

This is clearly a Portal 2 map, but it is in the section for original Portal maps. It is in the wrong place.

A little improvement in the puzzle department, but if you get lucky while checking out the angles, you can solve this in under two minutes. I never found your hidden companion cube, but I noclipped around and found the Wheatley model. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any world portals leading to it.

Your mapping and puzzlemaking skills are showing steady improvement. Keep it up. 4/5.

Decent little puzzle. Not too hard to figure out.

Yes, I found the hidden companion cube.

Oddness noted: Sometimes the high angled panels (where the two lasers hit) would only let me set portals dead-center, sometimes I could move them around side-to-side. Not a big problem as far as the puzzle is concerned, but I'm not sure if the behavior is intended. Seems to me as if they're using info_placement_helpers that are sensitive to your position in the room (if that's even possible).

4/5 from me.
