I liked this concept alot you need a mic probably to do it. But alwaya like the seperate each other in order to promote teamwork conept. Good job
Excellent map, playing through some Coop maps with a friend and this one was certainly one of the best so far. We found some issues though. Orange is able to get stuck in the first elevator if you are at the edge of it, were only able to get out by typing kill in the console. Blue is also able to get into the main chamber by himself by using the reportal glitch to gain height.
This is a great map, and on the more challenging side, thankfully.
As mentioned before, there are some points where you can get stuck.
I found another one: At the ending, blue can get stuck if orange walks through the end without enabling blue to get to the last of the 3 rooms (button not pressed).
Other than that I played this map as blue and always find it a little unsettling if rooms are bigger on the inside. If you walk through the 3 glass rooms the outside seems to jump a little ahead... sometimes makes it very hard to "locate" oneself. I don't know if it was necessary or just some gimmick, but if it can be avoided, I would.

And that's was the only way we found to reach that room. What was the intended solution?
Fun map, with twists and great craft. A must.
But we got stuck for not seeing the button in the last room which spawns the 2nd cube. That one should be highlited a bit more.

You actually teleport from one cage to the next, I guess via world portal.
A bit dark, I don't know if that was intended to make it not as easy to realize where you have to go.
ok guys i will fix as many things as i can. but i still dont get how you made blue go into the main room.

That's an exploit, don't worry about it. Buf if you do, imagine Blue being able to fly and prevent him from reaching Orange.
Update
Fixed the ending so no one can get stuck and also prevented the use of the reportal glitch in the first hallway
mapping question
Out of curiosity, why did you opt for using areaportals between the three upper rooms instead of just having func_movelinear? It was pretty distracting to have so many places where the textures changed, the other player disappeared, etc. Not that they were used badly per se, just...seemed like a strange choice.
The fact that the two players can't switch roles and are stuck doing each task kinda sucks. These light fixtures being so dim that they look like they should be meaningful kinda sucks. The fact that you have to use a reflectocube turned on its back to solve the puzzle kinda sucks. The world portals to move between the boxes kinda suck.
Interesting, but very... different. Pretty frustrating.
It is possible to get hopelessly separated/stuck, if the Blue player does not push the switch right next to the very first door in the first puzzle. You should just use a trigger_once to open Orange's door instead of requiring Blue to press the switch (and possibly miss it entirely).
I very much disliked the use of worldportals in this. It was confusing at best, especially since it took me and my partner once or twice to really understand what was going on. I think simply moving the cage would have been a better choice.
Lastly I very much do not enjoy the type of coop maps where either 1.) one player is stuck doing more or less nothing while the other is solving the bulk of the puzzle, or 2.) where the players can't swap roles in those cases. I was the player in the cages and I felt helpless to really solve the puzzle. My job was to occasionally place a portal for the other player to use - and didn't really feel like I helped solve it.
I think you have some pretty interesting ideas, but I think a better execution of some of them could have made this a really excellent map.
Thanks for the feedback. I had this idea from the start and wanted to see how people reacted to it.
I will use world portals better now that i know how confusing they can become.
Excellent! Very funny from the beginning to the end. Good puzzles. Ee really enjoyed a lot these separate hallways!
Thanks for being there creating for the players!

You didn't have to do that to solve it
We played this map ages ago but I couldn't find the thread anymore. Now that I found the thread, here is the video (note that the video is some months old though):

Iviv and LyLy here, and we played Hallway! This is our first request, yay! This map is absolutely fantastic! We loved it from start to finish. It was a little confusing at first, but we got the hang of it quite quickly. Very original concepts and an overall great map!
