Description

This is my second Portal 2 map. It's pretty simple but hopefully both better designed and slightly more challenging than the previous one. Right now I'm really looking for feedback on how you guys like it (or on how you don't) so PLEASE RATE AND COMMENT. Enjoy!

It's an ok map, but there are some issues:
The textures are boring (only one for the whole big first room)
There are no auto-saves
The 32px thick panels look odd.
The map feels too big

for now 3/5 with some improvements it can be higher

I'm done - vid: http://www.twitch.tv/bruzag_nl/b/299907496
I must say i wasnt really impressed, the map is rather easy, its pretty boring looking, and the fact that theres no autosave just makes it that much worse -.- I'm sorry i just dont quite like it.

On the other hand - its just your second map, and i encourage people that are trying to get better at it - it's good to see someone at work, but this map is just missing a whole lot - maybe make a couple of more like these, to get some practice but dont actually publish them, before going bigger/deeper and making a complete/cool map.

just my $0,02

Now that a bad name for a map!

Thanks for your feedback guys. I'll get straight to work on a new one with better textures and more difficult puzzles. It's nice to see people actually giving feedback.

This map actually started as a test of aerial faith plates. After I had one set up I thought 'hey, let's make this into a map'.

For my next map I'll set out to make a Portal 2 Map instead of adapting a test.

Thanks again.

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Also note the video description for more feedback and my signature for additional project information.

Like his first map! ^^

Feedback: I think your maps are just for testing ...so very simple.
This map was more clear than your first map.
There is a red thread through the map (sometimes a little bit boring), but all in all:

It works!

Train Train Train!

I think it would be better when you don't upload each testing map ...make a mappack or put all chambers in one map.

You know what they say: '2/3 ain't bad, but 4/5 is better'. Seriously I never expected to get 3/5 let alone 4. Thanks so much. I promise I'll make my next one more challenging and quite a bit longer too.

You guys have also been giving me great advice and really good constructive criticism.

Thanks.

2/5. Another small puzzle in an huge empty room. At least the big room has an huge fling. In the laser room you used wall textures that are conventionally portalable but weren't. Put a frame around the glass to make it stand out. Funneling between the arms of the movable panels looks wrong. Try putting the arms into a recess in the side of the opening and pulling the panels away to reveal a portal surface.
