Good news: these maps still use binary space partitioning.

Duke 3D used something close to world portals! Good old modding days.

Nice map. Just, please, brighten it up! It's too dark in some places. Also You really need light bridge only on the first part of the map. Then you can destroy other turrets with funnel. Therefore, for the second part of the map the second player is almost useless

I noticed your map has the VMF in it. Is this actually a 2011 Summer Mapping Initiative contest entry?

I just put it in there in case it was needed. Doesn't need to be put in the competition. This is a first mapping attempt.

I'll add some more lighting and try to edit so both players are involved more.

Thanks for the feedback.

Tried it: both turrets sections are lovely for a first timer, the rest scarily nondescript and undetailed. I bet you can make something out of those barren corridors, how about a turret redemption line with crushers to keep in theme?

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:
