I hadn't seen the last two maps, but that could be me.
Anyways I was pretty disappointed: Deluxe implies bugs fixed, and the most awesome version of the level ever! But the textures were still a mess, a lot of different stuff broken a lot of very short transition maps. 3/5 good: but needs improvement.
And the need improvement part for a deluxe is quite a let down imho.
I played it all the way through, but I can't solve the last puzzle. I keep dying from no apparent reason when jumping up to the anti-gravity-platforms.
I liked some parts of the maps, but this can't be the final version, can it? There are big ERRORS outside of the last window. The water textures are all messed up and the gameplay is a bit hard to follow. I don't like it where you can't see specific parts of the maps and have too trust the buttons to do something on the other side of the wall. Other buttons doesn't do the intended thing (I think).
Many things are blocky and ugly. I couldn't see anything on one of the maps and just followed the outside wall until I found my way around the map.
Did you really need a map that was just the train going down a straight rail?
If this is the final version I'd be disappointed. More details and more refined gameplay!
I've played this - funny. Nice idea with the train.. and the elevators.. and the monster elevator room
I'd recorded my blindrun - 43 min. I'll combine it and upload to YT in the next few hours.
Oh and a real nice idea with the flashlight-labyrinth in the first part
In the "last" room, there's a "tourret killer" where i shoud put the tourret in (?) - i don't do that. Oh, press the button to disable the lightbridge was really tricky.. i have strafe right to press the lightbridge button .. not to mutch .. and strafe back left to fly in the portal .. for a lightbridge that i'd not used to solve the map!
More in the video^^

Those are the only other maps released (from what I can tell).
The only two improvements I see are:
- Instead of three packs, it's all in one working pack, so the other downloads need to be deleted.
- Bonus map (the three downloads have two maps each, this download has seven maps).
There is one major flaw in the last map. ||There is a hole above the two angled panels which could allow you place a portal on a wall above the catwalk to bypass the spinning turret puzzle completely. Because I can do this, I can then walk over to what would be the purple surface once the turret is picked up and tossed into the incinerator. Since I am over there, I can jump down to the turret but can't pick it up. My guess is that there is a trigger that would allow you to pick up the turret or not.
Also, never needed to use any of the four buttons near the part where you drop the cube onto the Aerial Faith Plate to deactivate all four lasers in relay (unless they were to provide some sort of obstacle to make the relay even trickier).||
Yeah... I knew you were going to say that, but well, I'm sorry but yes that is the "final" version. I know some of you would want a better version and I also would like to give you a better version and more maps and everything... using those tools was cool but now I think that I need to stop using it because it's getting a lot of my time and I don't like that... It's like..... Now I have freedom!!...... Special thanks to those who played and gave me your opinions...
Ok, .. "in a few hours" is relative
I'd problems with my recorded files and the codec, file size, quality, and so on. The uploaded video miss a couple of seconds at the end (my encoder crashes -.-) .. but you can see my solution.

Edit: there's a sound lag
Hi,
I have an issue. I downloaded the map and extracted it to the maps folder as usual but when I start the game and enter the name of the map in the console, it can't find the map. This issue is observed with a few other maps as well. What's going wrong?
Tyri nice video. I did everything you did. tried everything possible thing in that last map. only to realize that it is all a lie. but it was fun.
i enjoyed the map but i found a problem with the repolsion gel where i wouldn't bounce if that was fixed the map would be perfect
A nice collection of maps, with some nice puzzles. The looks are bland in places, but it's enjoyable enough,
Map 1. The light block was a nice novelty, but I kept picking it up at an angle. It would have been nice if it rotated so that the light automatically faced away from me (like a reflectocube). The blue gel handle rotated the wrong direction, away from me and into the console.
Map 2. The laser puzzle was nice. The underground indicator lights looked too big though.
Map 3. Again there's a hybrid of new and old Aperture, and I'm not sure how well it works. The puzzle was nice, and the world-portal-induced gravity was novel. The train was a nice idea!.
Map 4. Was it worth it to have a map just for a train ride!?
Map 5. Loved the projected texture lighting in the first room. The map felt a little laggy for me, and I had to turn down some graphic settings to reduce the problem. The puzzle was enjoyable though, and I enjoyed how the room transformed to become a blue gel puzzle.
Map 6. Another train ride! It was nice to have a break from puzzling, but we didn't have too much to look at (essentially we got a look at the inside of a big box with some rails in it). I liked the bts feel at the end of this map, having to hunt for portalable surfaces.
Map 7. Nice detailing at the start, and I loved the missing roof, through which we could see part of the the mine (?). With that said, some models were missing. I couldn't pick up the turret with E, so I couldn't put him into the furnace. Eventually I became frustrated and gave up.

Strange, isn't that a non-custom model?
Yeah, the model there is "models/erikszeug/umgebung/geodome_ext_lod1_skybox.mdl".
And it should look like this: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/57782 ... EEF1C9253/
It isn't a custom model I suppose.
It is, sorry mistake by me.
Models/erikszeug/ are custom models made by skotty
You should use pakrat or something similar to add the model to your bsp
Updated again, I hope there are no more problems........ And I got rid of those models and designed something different....... It was easier to say it in short words.
I just played through the whole thing after not playing any portal maps for a long time.
I'm not sure if I can say anything new, but I decided that I want to give some feedback after every map I play (even if it's an old one) so here it goes.
First of all, I loved your ideas, I was constantly like "I want to make something like this, this is awesome!" But a lot of things weren't "done", I can't even think of all the things that could be improved. I realize that you spent a lot of time with these maps, but they'd still need some more.
A lot of the world is too blocky, some stuff just aren't aligned right, some puzzle elements were too awkward (for example I spent ages trying to start the piston elevator with me on it, and the last puzzle leaves too little time for you to actually do it. In the end I solved it with noclip.)
The flashlight was a great concept, though in its second incarnation it didn't function as well, I'm not sure if it's different than the first one, or just something got messed up. I really liked the atmosphere of the flooded (?) area (I'm not quite sure about the fizzler that only covered half of the panel under the funnel. It kind of seemed like a bug - I didn't discover why it was like that) and I didn't really have anything against the trainride (besides the look of the train itself
) The rotating turret was an interesting thing, but it's really not pleasant to wait until it's facing the other direction.. Also, I'm still not a fan of mixing the old and new test elements.
So overall the whole pack took me an hour to play through, and I enjoyed all of it, but the design definitely could have been improved.

Whats because, you can shoot an Portal to the concrete on the one half, and when a cube goes through the portal, it will fizzled.
When the fizzler is correctly placed, you cant place an portal ^^ (ok, a Button with a Timer would be better ^^)
(omg my English
)

but it already has a grate on it. Isn't that enough? Or if it's not perfect, he could have put a grate on the other panel as well (where the cube would enter). It's a much cleaner solution. And it doesn't make me confused

But when theres a fizzler, you must hurry up. When theres a Grate, you can take time to reverse the funnel. Maybe he want what the player must run.
Hi, thanks for all the feedback, its not easy to handle all this stuff, I made this maps long ago, that thing you are talking about its a very complex thing a made for make the puzzle work, I will consider it but its not easy, well, maybe its easy but it requires time I actually might or might not have... Lately i've been thinking in making a fixed version of the maps uploaded in the workshop, I would like to see any recomendations, thinking in advance the series of maps would be very difficult, Would love to do it but yeah... right now... I'll try to improve it some day... thanks and I would love to see what a player would like to see. thanks thanks thanks thanks
sorry if bad english
Hello It's been a long time, if someone remembers this maps... well here I had some sounds I wanted to implement in them but never could, wanted to show them, cheers.
