Description

Do you have the necessary belief to crack this little excursional outing? Do you possess the absolute audacity, to carry out this experiment in a clean testing environment? Do you maintain the belief that everything is possible once you put your mind to it? Then I hope you have faith in rotation, my friend. My Mapping entry for the summer mapping initiative was to take Valve's mechanics, such as the faith plate, and the excursion funnel - and make them move. As you can seem the excursion funnel in this level does't actually move, but I hope I have captured the idea enough Have fun, and let me know if you find any last minute bugs Special thanks to: Rybec, for fixing my rotating faithplate, Steve, for playtesting and suggesting fixes for several designs in the second chamber, And all my beta testers: Willbyshan, Tobbsdasock, Galamore, Stumpy_2000, Jimjam, Hriscay, TheZamboniKnight & Hydro14 Oh, and special thanks to me. You know, for making it. This has been Kdapro, under the alias of Shiny Box. Peace out.

Map's strenght lies in its puzzles, both fresh and enjoyable - one definitely original, the other more menial. Suggested to all. Too bright and plain, but you can't have everything.

Bugs: if you jump on the platform while it's less than fully turned, the rotation angles will reset based on that new position.

Great map! I love the original use of both plates and funnels. A fun map to play through too, and cleanly presented.

I consider this a feature. It doesn't really get in the way of solving the puzzle, just looks a little odd.

Nice map, still not sure about the intended solution of the first part.
I turned the rotating faith plate forward, used the portal to get in the part where you deactivate the field, jumped on the handbutton to shoot a portal on the opposite portalable area, activate both handbutton.

Nice clean map, issue with the rotating platform, gets out of sync if you jump on it too soon. Not sure if anything can be done, other than restart. Rotating FP was novel and fun. Second room - not sure about that one, seemed unfinished as there was really nothing to do except get a cube....Thanks for creating this map....

The major answer to the first puzzle is all about putting the cube on the faith plate rotater, dropping another cube destroys the old cube, thus stopping the rotater and dropping a new cube onto the faith plate - which by this point should be facing the emancipation field :]

If by second room, you mean the one with the alternating funnel, then the exit door is attached to the button on the ceiling but if you mean the room after that one - that was just an excuse to a victory room :]

Nice map, I like the creativity! Objects can fall into most (maybe all?) of the afp's and buttons. In the first room, you can put cubes under the afp's, and in the last room I lost my CD in the button. Also I couldn't seem to pick up that turret box in the last room. Nonetheless, I did chuckle when I entered the "victory room."

How do you finish the second room..?
There doesn't seem to be any way to keep the portals from alternating, so the cube drops shortly after hitting the button, which closes the door.

I've tried starting off with the cube already up in the air when the portal kicks in, but it still doesn't work.

Keep the orange portal on the ground, then alternate the blue one depending on which funnel is on.

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

A nice change of pace for puzzling. Not many succeed at making time an effective element of their puzzles. Usually, all they accomplish is making a puzzle nearly impossible for me to play using a controller. Yes, the last room was just for laughs, but there's nothing wrong with that! This one goes onto my playlist of maps that are just plain fun to figure out. 4/5 from me.

This was quite good and entertaining. There was just one glitch in the very last chamber: after pressing the button to get a cube, it bounced into the goo after its fling and the button could not be pressed again to get a new cube.
