Description

Sorry, no fancy title for this map. This is a one room puzzle. On a 1 - 10 scale of difficulty, I would say it's somewhere around a 4 or 5, but I'll let you be the judge of that. Puzzle contains a laser and a box. Download has instructions on how to install it. This map was a "warm-up" for my Hammer skills, as it's been a very long time since I've done any mapping. This map took me about a week total, if that. Any feedback is appreciated. Report any bugs if you find as well.

Micromap with good looks and a single but intriguing puzzle. Well done! If I may suggest, that light seems too bright. Also one needs eagle eyes to see the panel rising, maybe if it started later and did a noticeable sound it wouldn't be "wasted".

I made it harder on myself, by assuming I shouldn't have remained in the laser room to beat it (still possible).

i downloaded and all i got was a readme and the addons folder
i read the readme (all of it)only thing in the addons folder was a vpk file (dont think that works as a map)

Put the vpk file in the addons folder, then type in the console: map sp_sl_laser_box

good map, but you have to aim the laser really high. at first, i thought i was doing it wrong, good mapping skills though

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.

I think 4 is being a little generous on the difficulty scale. More like a 2. But it looked very nice. Clean and professional looking. Good use of sound.

I also think 4 is a tad high on the difficulty scale, I'd say maybe 3 at most. Then again I'm not sure what I'm going by there.
Anyway nice looking map, good use of sounds, and a well designed puzzle.

puzzle made me thinkjust after button press with box until i saw the answer by my standing in the open area
also the hidden room was a nice addition, saw it when i was getting the box

Yes, I like this one. Short, but fun; I had to think for a bit to solve.

My comments:
- The sign had no info on it (00, no icons, etc.) -- intended?
- Overall, the textures were a bit uniform. Maybe add a bit more variety, even for a small room
- I agree w/ others, targeting the laser was a bit...precise. Not a big deal, but if you could make this more forgiving, might be nice

I loved the slowly moving platform and its lighting from below!

Ugh. I followed a guide online to get the sign working, and I tested it myself using the .vpk method and it worked fine on my end.

Something I'll work on in my next map.

Try to put the cube a little bit over the moving platform at start. If you need, tou can use a clip texture parented to the platform (func_vphysic I think) to remove the cube bug.
