purely out of interest, where did I go wrong on grammar and spelling im my last post?
Spelling problem = saterday
Spelling problem 2= you can see in the quote, "spelling im my"

ah, I see. as I was working flat out on hammer at the time, you can't blame me for trying to get screenshots for whoever asked for screenshots.
as for "im", notice the keyboard goes "zxcvbnm". a simple slip up where I wnet to press n, but pressed m
It's not a chatbox, so you've got plenty of time to check the spelling before pressing the Submit button.

lol why is the spelling such a big deal? so theres some typos. big deal. you can still understand whats being said right?
Because correct spelling, grammar and punctuation makes a post look more professional and appealing. You don't see any job postings using internet lingo and improper grammar and spelling, do you?

Professionalism!

Fair point and yes your both right. I was just saying that were talking alot about the spelling rather than the idea itself but true it would be more appealing if correct english is used
I just realised while replying on myaperturelabs about the release date.
we originally hoped by april, we'd release the whole thing.
but put yourself in our-rather busy and excited-place:
the project is nothing short of endless on how much we can expand on this.
we thought of things such as, a run of test chambers, living quarters for the staff, construction lines for all parts of the facility, retextures for all models to make the facility look brand new, we can't begin to imagine the potential of this project!
we hope to have a beta out to our testers soon, then a public beta, then how ever many more beta's, but the full version may take weeks, months, maybe even a year to complete fully!
hence why it is still a beta and not finished, and why we wanted help in the first post.
so, the map so far was fairly bad as we have all these ideas running around in our head, we wanted to release them ASAP. we have since learned to ignore this feeling now.
we hope to release the beta by sunday to our testers, and release the public beta on wednesday

And those are the best screenshots you can produce. Oh man.

so what if I can't get the best shot ever?
I can't get great ones.
besides, it's realistic. you get what you see.
I'm not-and never will be-a great in-game photographer. I'm good at mapping, making materials and sound things. not photography, filming or details.

Maybe it's not the screen shot itself but rather what you're taking a screen shot of. Beta in a week and that's what your maps look like. Patience is a virtue and leads to much better games.

it won't be public. it will just be for the testers to use.
so, they'll focus on things going wrong with the map, while we add the decoration and fix the problems here.

I don't get it, you surface out of nowhere, your first post claiming to have the best end all map. Did you put any thought into this at all?
...for me to poop on.

I have never said that. when have I said it's the best? all I've said is it has great potential due to the endless amounts of places we can add in this particular project, as you can easily see it says aperture laboratories in several places, not aperture science.
therefore, science could only be a division of aperture laboratories.
as for surfacing out of no-where, I have been planning this for ages. I only just came here, to this forum. I have been in more places longer, planning this. for example, it was on my website a month ago, and I was on myaperturelabs 3 days later, then moddb the following morning.
I came here asking for any help with mapping, etc. as one of my mappers suggested this would be a good place.

I say we just let them release the beta on Wednesday and we see what they have. I can't wait....for me to poop on.
well, it depends on the person. some prefer adventure games, some prefer shooting.
for now, it's only catered to those who like adventure-style games. later, it will be better suited to shooting fans.
and you know how immature it is to write that? it makes you look like a 10 year old quite honestly

Clearly you've never seen Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. Good luck on your "mod" which is clearly more ideas than implementation. I can't wait to bash it.

I love Triumph, he's the best.

I've been advised by my beta testers to hold back the beta for a while, so I'm getting really frustrated at how long I have to wait to release it.
ah well, I guess you can't poop on it for now.
This is a good thing. Protip: It takes months to make one complete, well detailed and good looking map. By your current schedule, you should have about one room to put into beta.
