That's not a Source mod though.

Then what is a mod msleeper?

Isnt a Sourcemod just a mod based off of a game that goes in the Sourcemods folder?

Do you use the Source SDK Base to rewrite any, some, most, or all of the game code?

Yes -> You are a Source mod

No -> You're something else

The answer will always be "No", because Portal does not have it's code released.

decompile all the source code to C# then edit it...

C# eh? I somehow think you don't know what you're talking about.

Its still a sourcemod really, you may not change the game but it doesnt affect the original.

it would really help.
or at least, I think it would help. I'm not good at technical stuff XP

I really want to see what he thinks is the decompiled source code. I need a good laugh.

well I'm sure that he wouldn't say it for nothing :3
if it is, ah well. we'll have to work on the MP function the hard way. if not, we can release this another week or two quicker

open source sdk, click 'create a mod' > 'source code only' enter the location for it to be outputted to and it will put all the files there...

i presume when the SDK tells me its doing the source code that it will be source code...

You're a fucking moron. The Portal code isn't there. That's what I'm trying to tell you. It's never been released.

And It will never will. (Unless someone decided to take a risk and steal it.)

I must ask, was it really necessary to insult the guy?
as a moderator, I'd expect you to not insult them.
unless your purpose is to drive people away and make this site die faster

anyway, I don't think that's the code. I suspect that would be the HL2 code.
still, if you think you can find it, I hope you do

on a side note, logically, the source code is on all of our computers.
I mean, surely the compiled code is used for the actual game?
so, logically, if someone were clever enough, they could try to decompile the game to get the source code?

idk. I don't know anything to do with the technical side of things

hey, it's logical that the code is in the game. or at least the compiled code.
I know nothing about technical stuff, but I am good at common sense.

if no part of that code would work, well, portal wouldn't work

or at least, that's my theory. it's probably an irreversable final code or something
