I got the pattern of the numbers, I was just curious as to why it started at C specifically. Good job spotting that, anyhow.

So...you're counting by threes. In that case, why wouldn't there be a zero under the first C?

You know... That was how I wrote this when I first discovered this. Or no, there wasn't a zero, just next letter (L) was above a one.

Holy shit! We made a new page in only about an hour! let's keep it up!

Changing the subject again (to keep it up):
What makes the portals unable to be placed on the metal walls?

Concrete walls are more flat than metal ones, so a portal can fit more perfectly.

I must respectfully disagree. I'm pretty sure concrete is a much rougher surface than metal. Metal can be made very smooth; do the concrete walls in Portal look all that flawless? If anything, I would think it would have something to do with the way that the "seed" of the wormhole (the orb shot from the ASHPD) takes "root" in the surface. It may be that the various imperfections, notches, grooves, etc. in a surface allow a sort of foothold for the portal to form and expand. Same with glass; that can be made incredibly smooth as well. The reason a portal simply bounces off metal/glass may be that it just slides off the surface until it fragments and dissolves.

The point is that metal surface is simply separated into the segments you see in any Portal level, and not one of them is able to accomodate a portal.

Good point...but...now that I think about it...can't you create portals over the borders between concrete slabs?

Yes, you can because the concrete slabs are more smooth than metal ones.
