I am new to this forum thing, I got the invitation from steam. I was like "Ooooh, Portal mapping!" However, I remembered that I don't have the Portal Source SDK/Hammer.
So, I'm just going to try to find some kind of portal map maker, If i could. I have the free version of portal, the May Offer, Real Myst, HL2: Deathmatch, HL2: Lost Coast, and Alien Swarm (Hurr.)

    So If anyone hs some kind of Valve Portal Hammer Editor, please gift me it or something. I'll try to Look for a portal map maker.

BTW, This has some kind of emoticons and features from Minecraftforum.

The only mapping program for Source is Hammer. If you have Portal then you can get the Source SDK. It comes included with any Source game. Go to your "Library" in Steam and click on "Tools". You can install it from there.

Sorry but you'll have to own another orange box game - for instance, half life 2, one of the episodes, or team fortress 2, to get access to the hammer editor. I'm pretty sure once you've got it though you can use it to make portal maps.

Oh wow, really? I take back what I said then. Buy HL2, it's 100% worth it even for a 6 year old game.

Buy the orangebox game that interests you most...
or buy portal...
or the whole orangebox...
or any source game (If that still gives you access)...
hl2:DM does not give you access, for some reason (Probably because it is free, like portal was)

Swarm, Video card Deathmatch offer and Free Portal don't provide you with Hammer. Just buy Orange Box, if you like FPS games you'll be very happy with it and it includes the full version of Portal with Hammer.
