I apologize for any download errors or related issues. Right not we are working on optimizing some things, as it appears there are some malicious IPs trying to scrape our file database. I apologize ahead of time for any inconvenience. Thanks.

Okay so I was wrong again. Working on getting this more under control. We are getting a lot more downloads than expected and it is putting our throughput through the roof, and I'm trying to get that to come back down.

So is this regular traffic, no scraping/attack? If so, it sounds like the only fix would be a bigger server/better connection.

I'm still trying to investigate exactly what the problem is coming from. There's also the issue of some users with really fat connections using up a lot more bandwidth than other users, effectively hogging the throughput we have.

The server is hosted in the US.

Restarting the server wouldn't change anything, and "deleting the cache" literally means nothing.

I think he means clear the cache, but I wasn't aware that servers had caches. He may just be giving you the standard advice you get when you call your ISP about your personal connection not working.

Wow, you are whining about 300kb/s for a free download.

Anyway, to everyone else, a friend of mine is helping me out and taking some of the file traffic. So the problems should be remedied.
