As a fun project I think it would be neat to remake portal for portal 2. What are you thoughts about this idea?

I can only see this reasonable if you're retconning what's changed in P2, and updating maps to new mechanics perhaps! Because otherwise, P1 already looks and plays the same as P2 if not for a different executable.

Well, if I were to make the chambers with different puzzles, it would be nice to start with the base map, so that's what I'm doing no matter what.
