For if it is not entirely original our beloved game. This finally confirmed, according to Valve in "The Final Hour Portal 2 [BOOK]" in 2005 "Nuclear Monkey" development using Valve Hammer's own a game where a princess is kidnapped by the demon and to escape will have using "portals. "
Some parallels are found to play: A Girl's protagonist, the "portals are one blue and one orange, there are buttons you have to tread Cubes etc ...

You're saying this like nobody has already known it. The team behind Narbacular Drop were hired by Valve to help make Portal.

As stated above, The NarDrop team was hired to create Portal at VALVe. So in a sense, it actually is somewhat still original.

But I do respect this user for having HAL9000 as their avatar.

I played Narbacular Drop before I played Portal 1.
I played Tag! before I played Portal 2.

And, in fact, those "student games" are what got me so pumped for the "retail games". Especially the Narbacular Drop.

Side Note: It's, atleast to me, cute when I can see the dawning of insight on people who are totally new to this portal-scene we got going on. Things that seem old-hat to us, are all fresh and new! (especially when i goto the mapping help section, and think "Dear God, there are literally entire VOLUMES of these questions already answered in both the valve official forums, as well as here!")

Consider Narbacular Drop as the Portal tech demo, by the very same people. Baby Chell says: problem solved.

I hope that was sarcasm. Every time I read that quote I start laughing uncontrollably.

I can now proudly pronounce that this thread is semi derailed.
