Seems to be the maps from this forum..?

Quite a nice clip though... Who did it?

Well, seeing as you are a new member...and seeing that the video was posted today. I'm guessing that was you.

Credit needs to be added for the maps linking back to them.

Wait, so some guy made a teaser trailer for a mappack, or something in the sorts, using other peoples maps that he didn't make? And he didn't name the maps in the description which probably means that he didn't ask the authors permission?

Hopefully this is just me with another

There are several clips of AngryBombs in the video, and the lack of given credit leads me to believe that the video's author is going to be releasing a...map pack of already released maps that he/she didn't create?

Not quite sure where to go with this one.

Oh great, the plagiarism games have begun... This ALWAYS has to happen, doesn't it? The good news is, judging by the incredibly poor quality of the video, I honestly don't think this will be quite as successful as whatever fool compiled this sham of a map-pack thought it would be.

...wow, that was judgemental. Unnecessarily so? Perhaps, but I have a hunch with this one. Although, I'm also perhaps getting a slight scent of 'successful troll is successful' here.

I'm normally the first to crack down on someone doing something against the spirit of the community, but I haven't seen enough yet to take out even the warnhammer. Let's see what happens on August 1st and go from there, eh?

The trailer IS featuring my map, however no permission was asked and i wasn't credited...
Please take down the trailer and add some proper credits... after asking for permission!

I actually dont mind my map being included in a "best of the community" style mappack, but then please credit the users and ask them before just featuring them in a trailer!

now just to figure out who uploaded it...

... I guess I was stupid to think it would work...
I'm gonna take the channel down in a few days, so I might as well tell you what the idea was...
It was suppose to be some sort of weekly contest, I was to announce the map, and next week the person who finished it first.. um... would get somethin..
Before announcing the next map I was to video myself trying to do last week's map(with commentaries). And, obviously, failing miserably. I also wanted to show others' funny fails. (In a "fails of the week" style)
Just thought it would add a little interests, 'cause just doing map after map for no purpose can get boring after a while... and that's a shame cause there are some great maps here..

Ay.. Asking for permission... and credits... I haven't thought this through, I guess..

Ouch.. I thought the video was pretty good... not a map-pack.. who does map-packs of other people's maps? that's stupid.

Don't worry, that was meant to be harsh. It was more of a test; you were practically inviting people to guess it was you with the final sentence, so I thought I'd rise to the bait. Still, though, next time you make a video... Perhaps use something other than the HIGHLY visible fraps? Also, some higher quality footage would be better, and, though this is just me being a font snob, please use a different typeface! The one used for chamber signs in game is a variant of Univers, a copy of which can be found in Omnicoder's SignMaker (community-releases/chamber-sign-maker-t2797.html). Also, one last thing, you didn't actually make it obvious that it wasn't a map-pack; I think pretty much everyone here got that impression.

Wow, did not think I'd be giving constructive critique to this guy. Still, though, you clearly put some effort into this, just.. Try to channel it a little better next time, ok?

actually after knowing your entire plan i think it was/is a pretty good idea.
It's okay to play and judge people's maps or even set up little competitions.

Though then please announce that you intend to do so in the first comment or video.
Now you got people confused and scrambled about their maps being decompiled, modified and strung together in map packs.

Still if you want to continue it's okay by me, but then please include some credits through the annotions or the description on youtube.

so to conclude:

Mappack = a series of levels strung together and bundled in one download
Review/competition = a series of videos where you review and compete different maps against each other to see who's best.

i'm quite okay with the idea though.
and actually credits arent needed "because i want to" or anything, but more like, if players see a fragment and they're like "hey? what is that map, i want to play it!" they can actually find the maps included in the video.

Yeah, credits make sense, I just thought I'd put them when the map gets reviewed.
Um, I added lazy subtitles at the end, so no one would think it's a map pack. I should still get an opinion if it's a good idea though.
Thank you for the criticism Rubrica. I'm gonna try to implement some of these things. Not all of them obviously, I'm no expert O.o

P.S Miss Stabby - You made the best map ever. Without a doubt.

I'm actually a bit disappointed that the video was taken down before I got to see it. I'm curious what maps appeared in it :p

It's basically just showing random spots of custom portal 2 maps that are in this site, such as Angrybombs and Asbestoes is harmless.
