Wow! $11 for 30 seconds, a little steep. I could buy sex for cheaper then that.

If anyone wants one done from free PM me instead.

Can't fault him for a clever idea though.

The only problem is that the mapping community thrives on freedom and "free" of charge.

We mappers make maps for the fun of it. We never charge people to play our maps.

Also people who make quality maps put a lot of time into it, which they would otherwise be spending at work. So they might not have much money.

I have friends that would do this for free, plus it's not like it's going on the air, anybody can upload youtube videos.

I think the point isn't that the community should demand no-profit committment to all, but that this way a modder actually has to pay money after the mapping process. Surely you can do whatever you want with your money, but I think anyone would like to get a gain instead of a loss for his hard work (or in the very least, no loss).

Do you spend money on hobbies? Do you: buy plants for gardening?, pay a small entry fee to swim at the local pool? or collect stamps?

Mapping might be a lot of work and seem tedious to some people but it is a hobby all the same.

People can spend money however they want, but I never plan to spend money marketing my free maps.

Just doesn't make any sense to me.

Mapping is just about the cheapest hobby you can have. All you need is a computer, a game that costs less than $50, and some time on your hand.

Compare to photography or collecting vintage cars, it's heck a lot cheaper.

Indeed; OctNoWriMo, here I come! (off-topic, does anyone else here do any of the -NoWriMo events?)

Anyway, back on topic; until you stop using Calibri and that other atrocious font, distracting video filters and hastily edited clips of music from the game, this snob isn't buying. Just some things to think about; the trailers themselves are... Well, okay-ish.

I like the 2nd one better, it looked like the valve commercials, but without the special animations

I would like to see one for angrybombs.
