info_particle_system in the wrong place

I'm having another very strange problem. I have the info_particle_system broken_tube_blow coming out of a vacuum tube. There are no control points set. But when I play the map, the info_particle_system appears at a completely wrong angle, and about 128 units from where I actually placed it. I've had this problem before but I didn't really need those particle systems, now I really need it. :angrysquare:

Good chances that this particle system was created in partnership with a model, therefore it may be defaulted to be in a different position.

All I can say is do some tests.

Did you create it with the entity tool or did you copy and paste an existing entity? That causes problems.

Hmm, no, I have the entity made from scratch.

I have also had this problem with the blob_curve particle systems in the past, and I tried checking the tutorial for a diversity vent- it didn't specify any locating problems with the specific particle system. But I will do some tests, so that is a good start.

Well, Chicken, apparently you're right. For some reason it's the broken_tube_blow particle system in particular; the broken_tube_suck works, and while I would rather have it being blow because the player comes out of the tube, it will substitute.

Also when this thread is older, i have the same problem.
The particle always shows up ingame at 0 0 0 (Center).
Anyone know how to fix that? :S
