Because it is a TF2 map?
No, because it is a portal map that looks like a TF2 map.

I thought of post91558.html?#p91558, actually. Both were by Idolon.
It is unrelated to the Enceladus Initiative, even though I've grabbed some aesthetical elements I already designed for the mod. The idea was to get rid of some (too challenging) puzzles already designed that I wouldn't include into the mod anyway in order to keep a balanced difficulty level throughout.
Comments and suggestions are welcome as usual. ![]()

Ehhhhhh, definitely not.
On that note, looking awesome jose! Really loving that style.
the ghostly presence of abp: they're going to poop their pants
Dr. Element: do it abp

wip screens: (glados cube handed this over to me when there was just a blank room and no puzzle, i finished it)

I wish old aperture maps were easier to take pictures of. Also, have fun loading my post I guess.

Or so you thought.

Dang Idolon, that's koth_quarry. I know you just got the TF2maps showcase but that doesn't mean that you can just shove it in any showcase. :P
:(
I've actually updated the map since it got put in the showcase, so I decided to share it here too. I've shared TF2 screenshots in here before, and it wasn't really an issue.

LOVE to see a TF2 style portal gun.
I don't know how you can fit portal gun technology into a hat, though.
But on-topic: geez. If that was a Portal map, I would pay for it. Big money. The TF2 art style reminds me of the concept art for Old Aperture, back when Portal 2 was still F-Stop.

Oh, so is this easier than your maps or harder? Or is the Enceladus Initiative hard or easy?
I meant to say this: due to the mod will be medium difficulty because I decided to make it for the majority of public and the average player, I sometimes have to "do something" with the rest of puzzles I develop which I consider slightly harder; puzzles in these maps are challenging not necessarily hard, therefore I do think they're easier than my previous ones
... they all require, apart from some flings and a couple of quick (but only the average quickness, nothing ninja) moves, a lot of logic and reasoning. I'm proud of the mechanics involved because they're sort of innovative.

Hehe... you almost got that first puzzle, I'm sure that if you are perseverant you'll manage to figure out the final part
Thanks for your support!
Anyways, that is amazing, even though it is a TF2 map. Can't wait to play.
BTW, are those cubes prop_physics?

Maybe it would be cool if you could push the cubes off the buttons and it resets every minute.

It's about 3 hours of mapping compacted into 6 or so minutes. I made it short to keep it interesting, hopefully it's still somewhat legible what I'm doing.
This is the map in its bare-bones form, it still needs detailing, but it's completely playable, so if I wanted, I could publish it now and have a 3-hour map to my name (and as such beat tmast98's record for fastest finished map
), but I won't.
And with an hour or two of detailing, we get this:

It's almost ready to be posted, actually. Before the 17th is my goal.
I know that the way you mapped there was very productive when it came to detailing, but I noticed that you were just adding in puzzle elements whenever you expanded the map. Wouldn't this mean that the puzzle would be severely lacking in intuition or be really, really simple?
Did you have a sketch, a basic plan or anything to base the chamber off?
