Getting close to the end
I've been reading some older forum posts on these matters but it sort of freaks me out. Downloading custom zips, scripting and packaging... Since I'm fairly new to Hammer it seems quite intimidating.
If I want to publish my new map on Steam so everybody can download them easily, without them having to go to different websites and copy paste map files in certain folder, how do I do it?
OK, so it's actually three problems I have:
1) Get elevator to work correctly
2) Get info sign to work correctly
3) Publish map
I hope that you'd point me in the right direction. I've been reading some posts on this forum but it's not as easy for me as it might be for you guys. Hope you understand. Thanks in advance!
1)If you mean elevator videos, they automatically are selected when you upload the map to the workshop.
2)If you mean that it appears "Untitled / 00", the info is automatically filled in when you upload the map to the workshop.
3) This might help: http://www.thinkwithportals.com/puzzlem ... bility.php

Thanks! I used the pti_map_publish.exe program and I followed some youtube tutorial that said I had to implement the pti func_instance to get to the voting screen. I published the map and made it only visible to myself. I works, well except the elevator videos and test chamber sign. At least I can't choose myself which video should be displayed and what the test chamber sign should display. Is it possible to control this?
Late reply, but you could use BrainStone's Hardcoded Elevator Instances which allow you to pick the video. I think they require a bit of tinkering but otherwise will work.
