Seems like today's controller support update has compromised the publishing tool as well as the mac versions of the game.
Sad face.

My Portal 2 Publishing Tool crashes too, but my Portal 2 is fine. (I'm on Windows, haven't tried it on my Mac yet)
Any way to fix this?
