I've been going through the orriginal "challenges" as well as the "advanced challenges" that i uploaded and trying to find the bestests possible records (especially the least portals challenges (which are my fav)) without cheating of any kind (No wall climbing (which i can't even do), no bunnyhopping, no portal bumping (which i can't even do), and no door jamming) and most of "my" records i figure most people can do. so no big deal. but i DO think i have a pretty cool record on chamber 18, i did it in 12 portals... with NO glitching, cheating or anything. i have screen shots. but no video yet, and i can hear youme already "Video or it didn't happen" but i assure you this is legit. and i plan on making a video. i just wanted to see if i could even do it first. it was a bitch, but i finally got it!

Ive done 8 portals with using objects to prop the door open, and 2 portals with objects + wall climbing though I can't seem to remember my "must use the cube" score.

I'll go try it right now and see what I can pull off.

Edit: Just did it in 11, not sure if I can go any lower.

Taco. How the hell did you do it in 11? i did EVERYTHING i could think of to get this low. and 12 was the best i could think of. pm me or spoiler tag it please!

yeah 2 portals. but thats with glitching and such. (if nothing else you have to jam the door which is a glitch in my opinion)

Well I beat them all originally the real way, then I decided to search up some glitches and stuff, and they worked

Portal Break Down for Chamber 18 in 11 Portals:
4 Portals pre cube room.
3 Portals in cube room.
4 Portals post cube room.

I'm not sure if I can lower those numbers - if I can, it would probably be the "in cube room" that gets lowered.

i put one on the first platform, one in the bottom of the big drop. one on the 2nd platform, 1 on the 3rd platform, skip the 4th platform and place one on the angled platform.... 5 portals. how the hell do you do it in 4? cuz if i could do that... i'd have 11 portals

Well, if the only thing in this video that would count as glitch for you is the doorjamming, then you could use three portals to get the cube instead of that and continue as in the video. I don't find jumping to higher positions on your list

I consider things like bumping and jamming legit for doing the challenges because you're not actually using anything outside of the game for help (e.g. changing values in the console).

With wall climbing I assumed by watching some Youtube videos that you press e and space really quickly. I never managed to get very far up the wall but the people in the videos did; so I make an auto key tapper program outside of portal but it still didn't work perfectly.

If the people in the videos also used external programs to wall climb to get their crazy challenges than thats definitely cheating.

i still consider door jambing to be a glitch, cuz the door is SUPPOSED to eject anything caught between it. and it will.. if given enough time. it will usually do it right off the bat unless you are lucky enough to get it stuck just right. i still think 12 is the lowest possible

I agree with fusion, wall climbing to be done proper needs Autohotkey to be running in the background with a certain script set up so that while pressing and holding one key, it will tap jump and e incredibly fast with perfect precision. As I don't think anyone is physically capable f this without the help of the program I believe that it is fair to say that wall climbing is a cheat even though I used it in some of my runs, though that was because I couldn't be bothered doing other methods .
