how do you load custom portal maps?

lol, I may sound stupid, but how do you play a custom map after putting all the files in the right place? Because I'm sure what I've done so far is right, but when I go to bonus maps, the map I downloaded isn't there, do I need to open it up with the console?

Just so we have a basis to start from, post the section about installing from the readme attached to the map.

Why do you think the 'readme' is called 'readme'? It's not reversed psychology.

I think I've solved it now lol, as I was about to post the readme stuff, I noticed I'd put it in the wrong place lol, thanks the help anyway :biggrin:

how hard is it... the folder with the name "maps" wasnt obvious enough?

press ` and type 'map mapnamehere'

Lol i think that is the case, as if a compile button was not obvious enough
