Release threads I don't care if people bump. But if you keep bumping old threads outside of here, you can start saying hello to your new best friend yellow cards.

Yeah, I've heard of those things. Well, after I got chewed out for necroposting the day I joined, I always make sure to look at the last-post date before posting.
Random thought: Why don't spoiler tags work in the topic review window?

Because I never got around to fixing it. Maybe I will now. Only you and one other person have noticied, or at least mentioned it before.

who the fuck uses the review window?

also: don't random thought in a release thread shitting it up.
start random thoughts in the off-topic section or pm.

I've been having trouble getting this map to load.
I extracted the The_Watcher_Chambers.zip folder contents into a new The_Watcher_Chambers folder (the automatic "Extract..." command procedure). I then placed said folder (not the .zip) into the Steam/SteamApps/<username>/portal/portal/maps folder and ran the Portal program.
I opened the BONUS MAPS menu option, scrolled down to The_Watcher_Chambers folder, opened it, opened the maps folder, opened watcher_chams (displaying the picture and the name "The Watcher Chambers"), and was greeted by the sight of maps 0-5, maps 1-5 being locked.
I clicked on "Chamber 0: Beginnings" and hit "Load".

It was at this point that absolutely nothing happened.

What'd I do wrong?

Try extracting to Steam/SteamApps//portal/portal/ instead of /maps. I had that problem before but now I can play most maps. Some still do what you said though

There is a glitch(?) in Chamber 1: Boxed In where, in the lift room (shown in the picture), the Vital Apparatus Vent will occasionally, upon the loss of a cube, deploy TWO cubes instead of one. (Note: Both cubes will be clearly visible in the VAV when this occurs.) This occurred twice in a row, and so I was able to have THREE cubes simultaneously. Solving the room was fairly simple after that, but the point is, that shouldn't happen, right?

I had the same thing happen to me. Once both cubes are out, its easy to solve. But your right, I think its a glitch, its not supposed to happen.

no, i just forgot about it, and then i ran out of fun maps to play, and then i started looking back into older stuff i hadnt played, and then i found this and was like 'this looks awesome!' and tried to download it and the link didnt work, so i checked the last page to see if anyone had addressed this issue and saw that i had already mentioned it. so i effectively bumped it. yeah.

Try this link - should be always up, at least until someone edits the original post.

EDIT: this map was freaking awesome! everything about it was so well designed and mainted a very difficult puzzle aspect while keeping up engaging and innovative environments. the atrium towards the end especially was simply beautiful

Yes i finally tried this ! I remember trying to download this pack a while ago and the link wasnt working. It really is one the hardest pack i've ever tried. Prelude was a piece of cake comparing to that. It took me 2? hour to get through all parts. I really enjoyed all of them, the puzzles were creative, the evironnements were beautifull, and for once there was a real challenge. My favorite level would be the last one. The addition of music created a perfect atmosphere and the atrium was indeed a sight to remember. The finale with the g-man was really well done too. I give it 10 cakes !

Hey, I know I'm late to the party, but is there any chance of another host for this file? Both links are dead (one's 2 years old, the other has just turned a year).
