zoolook, you seem like a nice guy, but you have to realize that this is a community that you can't just walk in to without doing some things for us.

First off, this is a gift culture: respect is given, never demanded. From ESR's How to Be a Hacker (in the open-source sense, not the break-into-the-NSA sense):

Quote:
Specifically, hackerdom is what anthropologists call a gift culture. You gain status and reputation in it not by dominating other people, nor by being beautiful, nor by having things other people want, but rather by giving things away. Specifically, by giving away your time, your creativity, and the results of your skill.

Also, since the community has been around for close to a year now, questions like how to turn off the crosshairs have been answered before, in threads such as "Turn off HUD". I found that thread with a quick search on "crosshair".

You're welcome to stay here, but you might want to lighten up a bit.

If this is true then wow, this map better be the best thing I or anyone has ever played in their lives.

ok, the map is finished - BUT: it has never been tested before by an other person except myself  (the first two rooms were tested by my brother and we discovered a logical error which i get rid off by inserting an additional glas-door)

do you recommend to put the map first into a testing thread where some people can check for (puzzle) errors, or should it be released as usual ???

Gotta say, your maps look like a mix of Portal and Half-Life 2. Interesting, it is.

Also note, If you have any more problems about your compile log and you don't see a "leak", copy and paste your log into this site.

http://www.interlopers.net/index.php?page=errors

You should bookmark that page. It will tell you all the problems that you log has and on the solutions. Its a good tool to use, also the alt + p is cool too. .

thanx, ill check that site,

my crashing problems seem to be solved.
my render-leak (for faster rendering) was the reason.
all maps i compiled without the leak worked "crash-free"

so ill search for the appropriate thread for testing maps, and the show will beginn
