Chell's Legend is a Portal mod that I started about a year ago and has since evolved to something much greater. Gameplay is a mix between Portal, Hl2, and a 2d platformer. With brand new Portal mechanics and an awesome story supported by very talented voice actors, you will be in for the ride of your life ! I've always wanted to create something like this and now I have my chance!

I'm happy to help with any of your beta testing needs. I like finding glitches.

Well, since there's appearantly such a big demand of beta testers...

I never explicitely test, but somehow I always end up inside some weird bug. I once walked into an orb catcher in a custom map, for fun, and found out I could walk straight through it. I showed and told the author of the map.

Same for a portal bumper which wasn't set to no collide. I was goofing around in the map, and accidentally ended up in mid-air, against a wall.

I think you're being sarcastic here, given that it's mostly people volunteering themselves.

Just sayin'.

I heard this before. But I heard it as "Chell's Revenge." (Or maybe that must be the name only for the THA track.)

Can't wait to see the final result!

Ok, there seem to be a lot of posts asking to beta test/ commenting on people asking to beta test, so here's something about the screenshots.

This looks really high quality, and the first screen looks amazing(is the sign brushes or a model?). Can't wait for this to be released!

I could do Dutch subtitles.

Am already looking forward to this, since Portal: Prelude was kind of a drawback... it was great, but it could have been better... This looks very great, and this got actual voice actors, instead of stupid TTS lines...

By the way, what is with the episodal stuff? You're going the Valve-way: shorter stories more frequently? We both know that isn't going to happen. It will just be shorter stories, with no frequency shift at all.

How do you even get a portal gun into a mod?

Yes! I had a quick name change from revenge to Legend due to the fact I didn't feel it fit the story anymore

The reason I decided to do this was to actually get something out there and being able to focus on each episode one at a time. Things are much better this way and you get way better quality out of the project.
I honestly feel this is the best way to go.

When you create a mod you have to bring over certain files from the normal portal so it references all the junk from the original game. Someone had to tell me

Also I will not be translating the mod to different languages atm. I do not have it set to be in my pipeline. I know portal prelude kinda set it up so that mods that come out in the future should do that, but it just seems like so much work....

It's super easy work to translate...you should already have all your subtitles in a file...just send that to the person who says they will translate. They send it back, you put the right prefix on it, winners.

I don't have any subtitles made. :surprised:

I think people can still enjoy the mod even if they don't understand perfect english.

If the mod did get put on steam though and valve contacted me. I would add all that stuff in if they required it or something.
